AdBlue DEF fluid

Diesel exhaust fluid (commonly known as: DEF, AdBlue , Aqueous urea solution) is a consumable that must be used in SCR technology. Its composition is 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water.

AdBlue is classified as a non-dangerous product and it is a transparent liquid with a slight ammonia smell. If it splashes, the water evaporates and crystals form.

Today, cars and trucks and other applications using diesel engines sold must meet emissions requirements. To meet these requirements, many diesel engine manufacturers use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), an emissions aftertreatment technology that converts nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the diesel-engine exhaust stream into nitrogen and water vapor, two natural components in the air we breathe.

Diesel exhaust fluid is a 32.5% solution of technically pure urea in purified water. For the SCR unit to operate properly, the DEF must meet an exacting purity standard. This standard, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is intended to ensure that the diesel exhaust fluid used in SCR-equipped cars and trucks provides the purity required by diesel engine manufacturers and the quality to preserve the emissions control system and the environment.

AdBlue Tank

Automotive Selective Catalytic Reduction Exhaust Aftertreatment (SCR) is a technology in which ammonia produced by the reaction of urea reacts with automobile exhaust gas. It is a comprehensive emission control system certified to meet Euro IV regulations. It is a technology to control NOx in diesel engine exhaust.

AdBlue is stored in a tank mounted on the chassis. The AdBlue tank supplies the solution to the dosing unit (DU) mounted on the chassis. The DU is controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM). DU uses compressed air from the vehicle system to produce AdBlue spray, which is delivered to the nozzle in the engine exhaust system through a very precise metering and pumping system. The amount of AdBlue injected into the exhaust is controlled by the ECM, which can match the engine's NOx output at any speed and load conditions. When it comes into contact with high-temperature exhaust gas, water quickly evaporates and urea becomes ammonia. Ammonia reacts with NOx in the catalyst, and the result of this process is the emission of harmless N2 and H2O from the exhaust pipe.

As an professional adblue manufacturer in China,EverBlue Technology provide AdBlue with more than 13 kinds of packing and all of our products got the SGS & ISO & VDA certificates and we will keep the samples of each shipment

for quality tracking.
