Why Does Urea Crystallize

1. Shield the vicious circle caused by the SCR system


Blocking the work of the scr system will leave the nozzle in a helpless situation and can only wait in a high temperature environment. Urea pumps and pipelines that have not been operated for a long time will crystallize and block due to the evaporation of the remaining liquid moisture.



2. No regular replacement


If dust is accidentally brought into the tank when adding urea, it is easy to block the nozzle if the filter function fails. Generally, the nozzle has 3-4 holes. If one or two holes are blocked, poor atomization will inevitably lead to crystallization.



3. Performance failure or damage of other external sensors and actuator components


For example: When the exhaust gas temperature sensor has a performance failure, the actual exhaust temperature may be 100 degrees Celsius, and if the sensor feedback to the computer is 200 degrees Celsius, it will cause the system to inject urea in advance, which cannot be injected in the low temperature exhaust gas. After hydrolysis and gasification, crystals will naturally form at the catalyst carrier, and over time a hard urea crystal compound will be formed.
