Disadvantages of using inferior AdBlue®


1. The purity of low-quality car urea is low and certain impurities, such as heavy metals, can quickly weaken the activity of the SCR catalyst even become ineffective by poisoning.


2. The impurity particles in inferior AdBlue® may block the injection system, especially the nozzle.


3. Impurities in AdBlue® for low-quality vehicles may block the catalyst carrier, reduce the effective area, increase exhaust resistance and reduce engine performance.


4. Impurities in poor-quality AdBlue® will cause crystallization in the exhaust pipe, produce lumpy solids, block the exhaust pipe even damage the engine.


5. Substandard exhaust emissions will affect the normal operation of the engine. At the same time, the vehicle will not pass the inspection smoothly and will face the risk of administrative fines.

Once the catalyst and the catalyst carrier are damaged, they cannot be repaired or regenerated and need to be replaced at a considerable cost. If the injection system parts are blocked, the relevant assembly parts need to be replaced, which will bring high parts costs.


The SCR program has obvious advantages in the exhaust emission treatment system of national IV diesel vehicles and AdBlue® is an essential additive of the SCR program. With the gradual implementation of the National IV emission standards for diesel vehicles in various cities, the demand for AdBlue® may blow out.

 

The SCR system includes a urea tank (loaded with diesel engine exhaust gas treatment liquid) and an SCR catalytic reaction tank. The operation process of the SCR system is: when nitrogen oxides are found in the exhaust pipe, the urea tank automatically sprays the diesel exhaust treatment liquid, and the diesel exhaust treatment liquid and nitrogen oxides undergo oxidation-reduction reactions in the SCR catalytic reaction tank to produce no contaminated nitrogen and water vapor are discharged.

 

If the diesel engine exhaust gas treatment fluid is not loaded, or the purity is not enough, or the quality is fake, the vehicle engine will automatically decelerate. At the same time, low-quality diesel engine tail gas treatment fluid will contaminate the catalyst in the SCR catalytic reaction tank, causing serious consequences.
